🏥 Prison Medical Outreach – Oko Correctional Facility

On May 15th, 2025, the Association of Resident Doctors, EDGE Chapter (ARD-EDGE), in partnership with the Rev. Andrew Agbonmhenlo Medical & Gospel Outreach Foundation, carried out a life-changing medical outreach to inmates at the Oko Maximum Security Prison in Benin City, Edo State.

The outreach was born out of our collective mission to offer healthcare to underserved populations, including incarcerated individuals who rarely have access to timely and adequate medical attention.

  • Free medical consultations and physical examinations
  • Diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses
  • Health education and hygiene counseling
  • Emotional and spiritual support alongside our partners
  • Referral services for inmates needing advanced care
